1. In a large sauce pan over high heat, bring water to a boil. Boil broccoli until crisp/tender - about 10 minutes. Drain water.
2. In a large skillet, over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp. Remove from pan and set aside.
3. To the bacon fat, add crushed almonds and garlic. Cook until almonds are toasted. Be careful not to burn the garlic. Using a slotted spoon, scoop almonds and garlic out of the bacon fat.
4. In a large mixing bowl, combine broccoli, bacon, almonds, garlic, and salt & pepper. Toss with olive oil until ingredients are mixed.
